The things you know about your child, like what calms him and what the last doctor said, belong somewhere you can find them again.
There are four ways to add them to your child's Vest: Pocket Entries, Thoughts and Moments, Key Events, and files. Anya can draw on your written information and supported text-based documents when you ask a question.
Add a Pocket Entry
A Pocket Entry is a written note filed where it belongs. For example: "Foods can't touch on the plate. Use the divided dishes."
On your Vest dashboard, choose a Pocket, such as About Me, then the Pocket inside it where the note belongs, such as My personality.
Click New Entry.
Add a Title and a Description. Both are required.
Click Save Entry. You'll see "Entry saved."
Your entry appears at the top of that Pocket's Entries tab, with today's date. To change it later, hover over the entry and click the pencil.
Add a Thought or a Moment
A Moment is something that happened. A Thought is something you've been noticing or thinking about.
In the left menu, click Thoughts/Moments.
Click New Entry.
Choose Thought or Moment.
Add a Title and a Description, up to 5,000 characters.
Under Categories, choose the Pockets it belongs in.
Click Create Entry.
You'll find it on the Thoughts/Moments page, and in the Moments & Thoughts tab of each Pocket you chose.
Add a Key Event
Use Key Events for dates that matter, like a planning meeting, a benefits renewal, or a new support person's first day.
In the left menu, click Key Events.
Click New Event.
Add a Title, a Due Date, and a Description, up to 1,000 characters. Time is optional.
Under Categories, choose the Pockets it belongs in.
Click Create Event.
Add a file
You can store documents and videos in your Vest. Anya can read supported text-based documents, such as a support plan or an evaluation, but it can’t read what’s inside videos, audio or images.
For a supported text document:
Click Add to Vest. It's in the left menu, at the top of your Vest dashboard, and inside each Pocket. In a conversation, you can also click the paperclip.
Click Choose file... and pick your file.
Click Continue with ANYA. Anya reads the file and suggests a title, a description, and the Pockets it belongs in.
Look over the suggestions. You can change the title and description. To take a Pocket off the list, click the × next to it.
Click Save File. You'll see "File uploaded." Anya needs a little time to process supported documents before it can draw on them.
For a video, image or audio file, Anya explains that it can save the file but can’t read it. Click Upload file, then enter the details and choose its Pockets yourself.
Your files are listed under My Documents in the left menu. To change a file's title or Pockets later, click the pencil next to it.
What about conversations?
Your conversations with Anya are saved under Conversations, and you can search them by topic or date to come back to something. Anya can use earlier messages when you continue the same conversation. It doesn’t automatically search your other saved conversations or add what you say to the Vest. To keep something available beyond that conversation, add it as a Pocket Entry, Thought or Moment.
