You told Anya something in one conversation, like how Eric did at the dentist, then started a separate conversation and Anya didn't know it. Anya can use earlier messages when you continue the same conversation. It doesn’t automatically search your other saved conversations or add what you say to the Vest. To keep something available beyond that conversation, add it as a Pocket Entry, Thought or Moment.
Keep something you said
In the left menu, click Conversations. Search by topic or date to find the one you want.
Select and copy what you want to keep.
Add it to the Vest as a Moment, a Thought, or a Pocket Entry. See How do I tell Anya about my child?
Anya answered with something else? If you start a separate conversation and ask about something you only said in another one, Anya may answer with something similar from the Vest, like an earlier visit to the same place. Check the date and the documents Anya names. If it isn't what you meant, add the new one to the Vest.
