What's the difference between asking and telling Anya?

Conversations are for asking. Your child's Vest is for telling.

You'll do two things with Anya: ask it about your child, and tell it what you know. Each one happens in a different place.

Ask in a conversation

Click New Conversation and type your question, like "What helps Eric when plans change?" Anya looks through your child's Vest, answers, and may identify the documents it used.

Anya can use earlier messages when you continue the same conversation. It doesn’t automatically search your other saved conversations or add what you say to the Vest. To keep something available beyond that conversation, add it as a Pocket Entry, Thought or Moment.

Tell in your child's Vest

Here's what you can add, and what each one is for:

  • Pocket Entry: something you know is true. "When Eric meets someone new, start with his music."

  • Moment: something that happened. "Eric met Marcus, his new respite worker, today. He was quiet at first, then showed Marcus his music."

  • Thought: something you've been noticing. "I think meeting new people goes better when we start with music."

  • Key Event: a date that matters, like a planning meeting or a benefits renewal.

  • File: a support plan, an evaluation, or a video of a bedtime routine. Anya can read supported text-based documents. Videos, audio and images can be stored, but Anya can’t read what’s inside them.

Not sure whether it's a Moment, a Thought or a Pocket Entry? Pick the one that feels closest. Anya draws on all of them.
